M. W. Rhyne Jr., O.D.
Dr. M. W. Rhyne, Jr. graduated form Powell High School in 1966 and attended the University of Tennessee 1966-1970. He then attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, graduating in 1974. He started practicing in Fountain City with Dr. J.C. Tumblin from 1974-1977. In 1978, he began a partnership practice with Dr. David Patton which continued until 2016. In 2017, Dr. Rhyne opened his new practice, emphasizing Developmental Vision, Vision Rehabilitation and Vision Therapy as well as Primary Care Optometry. He and his wife Susan live in Heiskell, TN where he enjoys farming, gardening and quilting.
Seth A. Rhyne, O.D.
Dr. Seth Rhyne grew up near Knoxville, TN and graduated form the University of Tennessee in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. He attended the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Optometry and graduated in 2024 with numerous academic honors, including the President’s Award presented to the Class Valedictorian. During his time at the Kentucky College of Optometry, Dr. Rhyne was President of the school’s student chapter of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. He participated in several Remote Area Medical Clinics in Eastern Kentucky and Virginia and garnered additional clinic experience at the Vision Therapy Institute in Columbia, SC and the Cincinnati VA Eye Clinic. Dr. Rhyne has a passion for optometric practice with an emphasis in myopia management, developmental vision, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, and ocular disease. In his spare time, Dr. Rhyne enjoys playing guitar and tabletop RPGs, as well as spending time with his wife Caitlin on the farm in Heiskell, TN.
